Rough-In and New Construction Plumbing Services

Rough-in Plumbers

Rough-in is a term that can be applied to a number of the trades, but it’s usually associated with the middle stages of installing  plumbing fixtures. The term is coined during the phase after much of the piping has been laid and installed, but before the fixtures and finishing touches have been fully completed.

Rough-in plumbing generally fits into two categories, rough in plumbing and new construction plumbing. Rough-in plumbing is the process of installing water lines, sewer lines, connections and venting. During the finish plumbing phase, our local plumbers will finish installations and connections to get the home ready for use or in cases in which a customer wants to add a bathroom in their basement for example.

During the process of constructing a new home it is necessary to place all of the plumbing lines into the interior of the walls while they are open and exposed. Our specialists cut the necessary holes in the frame of the walls in order to ensure that there is enough space for all of the plumbing lines. This includes plumbing that is run to the kitchen, bathrooms and even the exterior faucets. Our rough-in plumbers will be able to set things in place, such as the showers and bathtubs, the sinks and even the plumbing for the toilet to be set in place. Once the rough-in plumbing is complete, our expert technicians can close up the walls and complete the project.

Suburban Repiping offers rough-in plumbing solutions for new construction throughout Chicagoland, including the initial groundwork, rough-in plumbing, and all finished work.
